Kenyon, Linda

Linda Kenyon was born in Collingwood, Ontario. She studied English literature at the University of Waterloo and has published short fiction and essays in various Canadian journals and magazines. She lives in Waterloo, Ontario, where she is the Executive Officer for the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo.

Kenyon made her way toward the short short story through more conventional short story lengths. This form has also been called postcard fiction, sudden fiction, flash fiction. It can be written on the back of a postcard and mailed, a subversive way to put stories out into the world.

A writer in a range of genres, Kenyon won the Science in Society Book Award for Rainforest Bird Rescue from the Canadian Science Writers Association in 2007.
